Fallout from the MAX crisis continues in other areas as well, with China Southern Airlines suspending its order for 64 737 MAX 8s and Ryanair stating that it expects to lay off approximately 900 pilots and flight attendants starting this fall due to the grounding of the MAX and concerns around Brexit. Southwest Airlines and Air Canada have also announced that they will be removing the aircraft from their respective schedules into 2020. The insurance ramifications here are simply staggering.
